One of our favorite things to do as a family is tailgating . We are huge UCLA fans ! I love the excitement that comes with games and tailgating, I’ve figured out that having a smaller scale tailgate party can be just as much fun as a big set up. There are so many other people with big set ups that we have fun just socializing and making new friends, playing games and of course eating 🌭

We’ll most likely be at every home game. We like to get there a few hours early to get a good tailgate spot . 🚙

I recommend LOT H . If you are hard core you’ll get there 6 hours early . Otherwise 4 hours should be good . If you get there 2 hours early you’ll still have fun but you won’t get a prime parking spot .

The tent, folding chairs, umbrella, and table should be the first items you pack up for your tailgate. Make sure you don’t forget your grill with a spare propane tank.

Food & Drinks

Be sure to pack condiments, utensils & napkins, food tent, bottle openers, ice, and a nice big ice chest.

Aside from the anticipation of the game, the pregame entertainment can be just as important. Be sure to pack a football to throw around, a good old game of corn hole, and a camera to capture the memories. If you go all out for game days (as you should), you can even bring along a satellite television to watch the pregame news or even the entire game from the comfort of your tailgate.

Odds & Ends

Depending on the time of year, you’ll either want to bring a hat or beanie to keep you protected from the elements. Add in sunscreen, sunglasses, a first aid kit, and a blanket to ensure maximum comfort and optimal game-watching conditions. For more ways to stay warm at a tailgate, consider investing in a portable heater. Lastly, don’t forget to pack trash bags! These are often forgotten and will make clean-up that much easier.

*KIDS UNDER 2 years old are FREE . Kids over 2 must have a ticket .

* They only allow clear bags in. No purses No bags at all unless its clear.

They do have a bag check in if needed.

* Bring jackets and blankets for the little ones .

About an hour before game the marching band performs several songs and then marches to the stadium with the fans trailing. It is a lot of fun is truly what college football is about, fun, family, spirit and pageantry.

We had the best time rooting for our team and yelling “Go team Go” . The kids loved it. I thought that was so creative that during the halftime show, the bands came together to hilariously recreate the tale of the Trojan Horse that helped the Greeks infiltrate the city of Troy and win the Trojan War. It was unexpected, but that’s what made it so great

I added in pictures of the Water Monster outside the stadium, where you can get water for free and the food stands inside the stadium . As well as a "Bag Check In" .

Next home game is Sat Nov 30th . You can buy tickets at : https://www1.ticketmaster.com . UCLA Bruins Football vs. California Golden Bears Football 🏈
